I think the most important thing for senior roles is relevant experience... A significant number of banks are hiring people directly from the conventional industry, but hopefully this will change as the industry develops more. I think we're already seeing this Malaysia.
As for Qualifications for these kind of posts... it's difficult to say, because most of the qualifications are new and as of yet, there isn't a globally recognised standard. However, I know INCEIF is well recognised... Also you might want to have a look at the CASS MBA, but it's very expensive, so you will most likely need sponsorship...
All the best with your studies,

Considering the in-class programmes, I have visited both places (INCEIF & IIUM-IIiBF) in Malaysia and Insha Allah I will be following the CIFP programme. When considering the programmes, in my view, I believe that INCEIF moulds and teaches the student exactly what he or she needs to work in the industry. Whereas, IIUM-IIiBF programme can tend to be very theoretical and lacks in practical perspective.
But, Masha Allah the campus of IIUM is really beautiful and is a very Islamic atmosphere. Insha Allah, INCEIF is hoping to move out from its current location, so I hope when I go there, Insha Allah, it will be as comparable with IIUM
